Special Protection Area Soutok - Tvrdonicko is situated in the southern Moravia on the junction of the rivers Morava and Thaya (Dyje).
This bird area has nine protected species - the white stork (Ciconia ciconia), the common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), the collared flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis), the red kite (Milvus milvus), the black kite (Milvus migrans), the saker falcon (Falco cherrug), the middle spotted woodpecker (Dendrocoptes medius), the European honey buzzard (Pernis apivorus) and the grey-headed woodpecker (Picus canus).
